Long day for us but here is a summary from my sister Deborah
“When I woke up this morning the Lord very clearly said call the women of Montavilla to battle today. Lead them with the weapon of song. Then Jill texted this to me "Reading in Joshua this morning.....Chapter 6......Jericho. Is this unbelief? Is there worshiping, singing, shouting needed to tear down the walls of unbelief? Jericho was never to be rebuilt. Unbelief never to be rebuilt." Confirmation for me. Went to see dad with my army of worshippers and I could feel the darkness disappear. Mom and I sang old hymns and cried together with dad. It was like cool water to him. I told him the army of Montavilla women were worshipping in battle and he wept. Then the crazy part. We had 2 different nurses say they felt he needed to be visited by a particular chaplain and both put in requests for her (because he had a bad night and woke up worried that he was going to die While singing the chaplain came in and said "We'll hello Dr Steele! Do you remember me? You're the reason why I'm a chaplain" He burst into tears - it was a student of his from the 90's. She explained that she was the only African American student at Multnomah and was going to walk away from the school but dad talked to her and what he said is the foundation of her whole ministry - "All you need to do is love people the way Jesus has loved you". She stayed at school and got her MDiv and is a Chaplain. Their time together was sacred. No other word. She did business with satan and prayed blessing over our entire church body.
Thank you praise warriors! 🙌
Pray for mom tonight. She's very overwhelmed by pretty much everything and needs to come home to sleep. She slept last night but needs more. I think we convinced her - but pray she agrees and sleeps HARD.”

Melody added this verse
Ps 68:When you, God, went out before your people,
when you marched through the wilderness,[d]
8 the earth shook, the heavens poured down rain,
before God, the One of Sinai,
before God, the God of Israel.
9 You gave abundant showers, O God;
you refreshed your weary inheritance.
10 Your people settled in it,
and from your bounty, God, you provided for the poor.
11 The Lord announces the word,
and the women who proclaim it are a mighty throng:
12 “Kings and armies flee in haste;
the women at home divide the plunder.

The Lord reminded me (Randy)that in 2 Chronicles 20 a massive army was formed against Judah but the Lord reassured them that he would win the battle so in response the king formed a singing praising rejoicing group of singers to lead the way into battle as an act of faith. By the time they arrived on the battlefield the armies had turned against other and all that was left was dead bodies (it took three days to collect all the loot). The fierce battle continues.... but in God there is victory. Continue with praising God. It is an act of faith and an act of spiritual warfare
